There are a wide range of opportunities to get involved, and we will need lots of different skills from lots of different people if the project is to be a success....
We are looking for the following volunteer inputs to the project:
Stewards: We need up to 30 stewards to support Home Openers during the Open Homes Weekend (17th&18th March). Stewards will meet and greet visitors, signpost to information and help answer questions, gather feedback about the project, and help serve refreshments.
Information co-ordinators: People with a bit of technical knowledge are needed to interview the Home Openers, gather information, and compile the following
• A detailed case study on the home,
• ‘Top Tips’ list
• Interpretation boards for the house
Photographers: Taking photos on the Open Homes weekend and collating an image bank.
Film makers: Making a short film of the Open Homes Weekend, or of the Project in general.
Article writing: Helping to write and place articles in local and not so local media
Promotion: distribution of leaflets and putting up posters in run up to Open Homes Weekend (February / March)
Creative help: making and decorating collection boxes, sewing bunting and making flags, and even cake baking!
